Why put a Premium Innerspring Mattress on a futon? Well, if you plan on using your futon for more than the occasional one night guest, the innerspring mattress will provide a level of support and comfort that a traditioanl fiber batted futon will not. Innerspring mattresses are also heavier and maintain their shape better, allowing the futon cover to fit snugly and stay put. Innerspring mattresses are best for futons that do not require the mattress to be folded more than once.

Free Standard Home Delivery:
This service is a 2-person delivery used for larger items and provides inside delivery across the threshold or to the first dry area.

Premium White Glove Delivery:
2-person delivery to the inside of the residence. Includes inside placement, up to two 2 flights of stairs, unpacking, debris removal, and light assembly limited to thirty 30 minutes. Light assembly services are limited to those that can be performed with an adjustable wrench and screwdrivers.

On both levels of service the shipping provider will call to make delivery appointment (Monday-Friday 0800-1700).
Deliveries will be made within a four hour window.

Big Tree has always specialized in solid oak furniture, from file cabinets to curios. We got into the futon business in 1989, when a vendor asked if we could make an oak futon frame. All 27 truckloads of our oak frames sold like hotcakes. At that time, futons were still a novelty. Small specialty outfits made either frames or mattresses, but not both. As a furniture company, we knew there was a better way. We wanted to make it easy for you to buy a fine quality futon, so we created a complete futon package—futon frame, mattress and cover. (Of course, you can also purchase our frames and mattresses separately.)

Big Tree was the first to raise futon frames to sofa height, for greater ease and comfort. We're at the forefront of new developments in futon frame styles and mattress technology. Big Sleep manufactures futons and covers domestically, proudly employing American workers.
